Mindsight
The Mindsight mental health resource has been retired.
Mindsight was an innovative initiative launched by Ontario Tech University under the visionary guidance of Dr. Wendy Stanyon. The platform provided comprehensive mental health education and resources to students, faculty, and the community. Mindsight fostered a supportive environment where individuals could learn about mental health, access crucial resources, and develop skills to manage their mental well-being effectively.
Over the years, Mindsight achieved remarkable success in promoting mental health awareness and education, with more than 14,800 certificates issued.
To support you in your search for mental health training resources, additional training is available through the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
About Wendy Stanyon
Dr. Wendy Stanyon, now retired, is renowned for her dedication to mental health education and awareness. With a background in nursing and a passion for teaching, Wendy has been a driving force in promoting mental wellness across the university and beyond. Her innovative approach and commitment to student wellbeing have made significant impacts, within academic community and also the broader realm of mental health awareness.
Dr. Stanyon received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and her Master of Arts in Education degree from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. She completed her Doctor of Education degree at the University of Toronto in Ontario in 2003.
