Background and interests
Ruth Simpson holds a Medical Laboratory Technology diploma from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. She is currently working towards completing her Bachelor of Allied Health Sciences degree at Ontario Tech University.
Prior to joining the university, Ruth worked in clinical practice as a registered medical laboratory technologist and point-of-care co-ordinator. She is currently teaching across disciplines in the university's Medical Laboratory Science program.
Research interests include:
- Point-of-care technology.
- The use of laboratory information systems as a teaching tool.
