Pathways

Two pathways allow Ontario Tech Kinesiology students shorter training as a chiropractor or massage therapist.

CMCC pathway:

An agreement between Ontario Tech University and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) holds specific places for Ontario Tech students. Conditional on passing an interview and receiving an offer from CMCC, Pathway students can attend CMCC after their third year and earn their Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) in Kinesiology  and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in seven years, instead of eight.

Massage Therapy Pathway:

The Ontario Tech-Durham College (DC) Massage Therapy Pathway allows Ontario Tech Kinesiology students direct entry to semester 3 of the Durham College (DC) Ontario College Advanced Diploma - Massage Therapy program, which starts in May of each year.

You would complete your Kinesiology degree in April and start the DC Massage Therapy program in the following month in May. You will be able to complete the DC Massage Therapy program in just 16 months, completing four continuous semesters.

Pathways - College to University:

There are three pathways where students from College programs can enter Ontario Tech with credit given for some of their college work. These include:

  • Fitness and Health Promotion
  • Occupational and Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Massage Therapy
