Research and Expertise

  • Background and Interests

    Vanessa Rozario-Roy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University, where she also completed a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Leadership and Management. She has held prominent leadership roles, including serving as an Academic and Clinical Coordinator for nursing programs within the province. With over 23 years of critical care nursing experience, she has worked extensively in a Level I Trauma Intensive Care Unit, demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and a sustained commitment to excellence in patient care

    Vanessa is deeply committed to advancing the nursing profession through innovative pedagogy, scholarly engagement, and active service on institutional and professional boards. Her research interests focus on the impact of simulation-based training on clinical decision-making in neurosurgical nursing, as well as the integration of evidence-based practice into undergraduate nursing education, with particular attention to student outcomes and implementation barriers.
